Simon Halliday – Rugby Adviser
Simon is currently the Chairman of European Professional Club Rugby the governing body for the European Rugby Champions Cup. The former England centre (who won two Grand Slams and was a member of the squad that reached the World Cup final in 1991), has joined Elite Performance Partners to expand the knowledge and expertise of our team.
Alongside his international rugby career Simon spent a successful 20 year career in banking for the likes of UBS, Lehman Brothers and Nomura as well as a stint at the RFU. Simon has worked in rugby both on the performance side as well as within senior leadership teams. This unique skill set and understanding allows Simon to bring a wealth of commercial expertise as well as a genuine understanding of the critical importance to interrelate the business of sport alongside the performance (that aligns to the principles and values of our business).
Simon says “I have a passion for business and sport bringing the best out of each other. Recruiting well in Sport is critical and much needed. Elite Performance Partners are employing a model which I admire and is very differentiated from the run of the mill recruitment consultancy business. I am proud to be involved and look forward to helping in their long term success.”
Simon acts as patron both for Help For Heroes and Cardiac Risk in the Young.
