Andy Reed – Non-Executive Director

A former MP for Loughborough, Andy Reed OBE has a wealth of experience in government relations and sports policy. During his time in Westminster he served as the Parliamentary Private Secretary to Sports Ministers and adviser to various sports bodies.

Andy is also the founder of the independent Sports Think Tank and he sits on numerous sport, faith and charity boards in a voluntary capacity. He was Chair of the Sport and Recreation Alliance from 2010-2016 and now leads on the health agenda for the Alliance. He is the current Chair of his local Leicestershire and Rutland County Sports Partnership and was recently appointed Chair of the Sport and Play Construction Association (SAPCA).

Andy describes himself as a ‘social entrepreneur’ and it is his desire for aspiring to transform organisations and individuals that led him to establish Saje Impact. Andy teaches around the world on sport policy and development and in 2014 he was made a visiting professor at Liverpool John Moores University. He is also a Senior Lecturer at the Institute for Sport Business at Loughborough University London, the world’s premier university for sport.
